About

Prof. Rachel is thrilled to teach in Keystone’s Communications and Digital Media programs. Prior to her academic career, she spent over 20 years in corporate America working as both an in-house creative director in larger companies, and as a creative manager/designer/writer in smaller firms.

She has:

  • Designed tradeshow booth graphics for McDonald’s conventions (yes, the McDonald’s that sells hamburgers);
  • Created corporate identity systems and websites for companies from San Francisco to Chicago to DC;
  • Done pro-bono work for theatre companies and other non-profits;
  • Designed an exhibition catalog for an outdoor sculpture show in Angra do Heroismo, Terceira Island, Azores, Portugal.

In 2015, Prof. Rachel became immersed in academia, and has never looked back. In her previous position at Misericordia University, she facilitated award-winning student work for local non-profit organizations; designed graphics for, and presented at, Women’s History Month events; wrote, directed, and helped produce theatrical productions; and raised funds through various initiatives for many worthy causes, including the Catherine McAuley House, Ruth’s Place Women’s Shelter, and the campus food pantry.

Rachel joined Keystone College in fall of 2022, and teaches graphic design, web design, professional practices, and public speaking. She also advises the student-run literary and arts magazine, The Plume.
